Grampian Health Branch

There are three formal elements to the Branch Structure

a) Stewards Committees
b) Branch Committee
c) Annual/Special General Meetings.

Each UNISON Branch elects core branch officers at the Annual General Meeting in February of each year. All members of Grampian Health receive invitations to attend this meeting. These are:

Secretary
Treasurer
Recuitment and Organisation Officer
Education Co-ordinator
Equality Officer(s)
Health and Safety Officer
Communication Officer(s)
International Officer
BOAT Officer
Young Members Officer
Labour Link Officer
Welfare Officer
Retired Members

The Branch Committee meets each month - all stewards are expected to attend but they are not entitled to vote. Members entitled to vote are Branch Officers, one representative of each self organised group, Senior Stewards or nominated depute, one represetative of the Retired members Sections (who cannot vote on matters relating to pay or terms and conditions of employment) and the Young Member's representative. All Branch members may attend the Branch Committee providing they have informed the Branch Secretary in advance.
