Each UNISON Branch has an International Officer whose responsibilities include:Co-ordinating the Branch's work on international relationsEnsuring that Branch members are informed of UNISON policy on international mattersLiaising where appropriate with regional international structuresLiaising with other Branch Officers concerning publicity and education on international issuesLiaising with the solidarity organisations and campaigns that the Branch is affiliated toEncouraging members of the Branch to take action and participate in international solidarity activities organised nationally or regionallyEnsures that information on branch acitivity is shared at regional and national levelSeeks to develop an international perspective amongst members, stewards and branch officers.
March 2011 - Grampian Health has a newly elected International Officer in Bettina Low, who will attend regional and national events on behalf of the Branch. Follow her reports throughout the year
