All branches have a retired members secretary. Tasks for this officer can includeorganising meetings of branch retired membersensuring that the regional retired member's co-ordinator is aware of the branch retired members' groupestablish links with branch stewards and employers to obtain the details of members who are about to retireestablish links with other retirement organisations in the areamake contact with the branch welfare officer and links with him when the branch becomes aware that a retired member is ill or needs help

As of March 2011 our new Retired Members Secretary is Gus Gordon, whom many of you will remember and you can contact him through the UNISON Resource Centre on 01224 620624.
